Julius in the Army in The Great War

Grandpa Julius was a Doughboy in WW I , sailed to France and fought "those Krauts" as he liked to say. This photo is from 1918 so he would have been 22 or 23 at the time of the picture. Grandpa Julius died in 1982.

Grandma Ida at age 22.

Here's a photo of my Grandmother Ida. She never liked her photo taken and a smile on her face was rare. She was born in 1900 and lived to the ripe old age of 104. Photo taken in 1922.

Grandpa Julius as a young man.

Thought I would post a couple photos of my Grandfather as a young man. He was born in 1895. The top photo Julius is on the left at 20 years old. Photo from 1916. The second photo Julius is on the right at the age of 22, photo from 1917. The names of his friends he is posing with are lost with time. Bet you never thought you would be seen all over the world Grandpa!

Meet my Grandparents

Meet Ida and Julius. Here's the wedding photo of my Grandparents from 1925 (I think). When I find the correct date I'll edit it.

I have lots of extremely old photos I'll like to post. Love the hat, Grandma.

Model car kits, MPC, AMT, Jo-Han, Revelle

Does anyone collect plastic model car kits? Here's a stack of them I used to have years ago but sold them to a friend in 1995. There are, MPC, AMT, Jo-Han, Tamya, Revell cars. Wish I had them back now because some of them are quite valuable. Enjoy the pic.

From Television City in Hollywood!

In July 1976 a friend of mine and I took a road trip to Los Angeles and throughout California. That's a young thin me on the hood of my
1974 Javelin at Television City in Hollywood.

King Leo's Hamburgers

Do you remember the hamburger chain King Leo's?

Here's a couple of photos from 1974 of one of the stores. I think they all closed down in the mid 1970's. Too bad. The burgers were 15¢ at the time of opening in the late 1960's. We had several hamburger chains in town. McDonald's, Burger King, Hardee's, Henry's Hamburgers, King Leo's, Sandy's, Wendy's. I'm pretty sure I have some pics of Henry's Hamburgers sitting around. When I find them I'll scan them and post.

It's just Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, Culver's that remain.
